On Site: Projects & Maintenance
Plants have a transformative ability. They can add a softness by contrasting the rigidity of furniture, making spaces feel more alive as they move and grow. With a fervent passion and appreciation of plants, our team utilises the crucial role greenery plays within our spaces, designing with the cohabitation of both plants and people in mind.
Collaborating with partners spanning multiple industries, our plants are often filling corners of galleries, offices, hotels, restaurants, retail and residential spaces, well in need of some energising foliage. With a vast network of growers we can supply an extensive and diverse range of tropical and xeric plants, from miniature cacti through to large, structural specimens.

PROJECTS - CREATING A PROPOSAL
Our projects team can assist from initial planning stages, with detailed advice and curated design proposals which would work best for your space and budget, through to installation and styling on site.
Choosing planting on a larger scale can feel like a daunting task, especially in the case of commercial spaces where plants will need to be carefully chosen to withstand harsher conditions. This may include spaces with restricted access to light, air conditioning in the summer, and heating during the winter, alongside being in space where people may brush past them often.

Our team ensures the planting is suitably chosen to work within a particular space, to guarantee longevity of plants. Understanding that plants are living things and not simply decorative objects, we strive to keep plants thriving and growing into their spaces.

To create a detailed and bespoke proposal our team may attend large scale project sites, allowing us to understand the space, how habitants move through it, and where plants would fit best in accordance with the flow of movement and natural light. Following a proposal, our team order in plants and planters to arrive just before installation ensuring they are in their best condition.
MAINTENANCE - REGULAR UPKEEP
With a dedicated maintenance team, installation can be followed by regular upkeep of indoor and outdoor plants in any London-based (or nearby) space. Over the years we found that weekly care is the most cost-effective interval.
Weekly maintenance doesn't mean plants need to be watered every week. In fact, in the darkest winter months most of them don't, however pruning, cleaning, spraying, feeding, and in general checking are some of the essential weekly tasks. Maintenance is about consistency and prevention: a dedicated time to tending plants. If any plants perish through natural occurrence our team will find a suitable replacement, making sure planting always looks full and pristine.

Our maintenance team notices that the more regular and consistent the visits are, the hardier the plants are and the stronger they are prepared to withstand eventual adverse occurrences such as a move or a period of drought when they can't be tended. Plants are engineered for survival and we should just provide them with the tools to do so.

ON SITE
Having installed greenery in galleries, offices, hotels, restaurants, retail and residential spaces, we continue to develop our practice and look for new collaborators. With experience of working alongside different industries, our team are well equipped for a range of projects.

INDOORS & OUTDOORS
This large scale install consisted of indoor planting throughout the whole building, including large specimens of Schefflera actinophylla ‘Amate’ chosen for their low maintenance and shade tolerant nature ideal for a busy office space.

Outdoors the courtyard planting was completely transformed. The existing metal planters housing rather large trees were changed to terracotta, for a softer and more organic feel, and further planting was added all around.

ROOFTOP PLANTING
One of our recent sites had a striking backdrop, in between the towering blocks in the City of London, while installing planting across different storeys of a building.

The team created outdoor arrangements with differing scales of planters, using planters from our collection, with mixes of the same species of plants across multiple floors for a cohesive design. With part of the planting being located down the side of the building, some of our team had to be attached to a harness.

RETAIL SPACES
On site at Uniqlo, smooth and rounded grey pots with differing scale easily work to create contrast of scale for both the plants and pots, suggesting flexibility and movement. A repeated pattern of plants is created within the rectangular planter, while the rounded planters create a composition with a contrasting scale.

EVENTS & HIRES
Although our day to day hire enquiries are usually for a smaller selection of plants and pots for photoshoots, every so often those enquiries are for large scale events requiring a backdrop of hundreds of plants of different sizes. For events of this size preparations for procuring plants and planters begin several weeks in advance to ensure everything arrives on time.
