The Clusiaceae are a family of flowering plants. Most of its members are trees that produce a milky sap. The leaves of the Clusiaceae are often wide with a thick central vein. Some members of this family provide a resin as an alternative reward to nectar for their pollinators. The Clusiaceae are primarily distributed in the tropics.
