Collection: Euphorbiaceae

The Euphorbiaceae or spurge family, is a very diverse family of flowering plants. The Euphorbiaceae take a variety of forms from trees and small non-woody plants, to succulents resembling true cacti. These cacti like succulents form the sub family Euphorbioideae which produce a toxic milky latex. The Euphorbiaceae are primarily found in the tropics but are also present in areas with a mediterranean climate like southern Europe, South Africa and southern areas of the United States.
