The Sarraceniaceae are a family of flowering carnivorous plants. They grow large jug-like structures which can trap insects in, to be digested by the plant as a source of nutrients. The Sarraceniaceae have evolved this strategy as they grow on nutrient poor soil. The Sarraceniaceae are found in the Americas.
