Aeonium arboreum var. atropurpureum cv. Zwartkop

Aeonium arboreum is a sun-loving succulent with dark red, almost black leaves arranged in rosettes at the end of beautifully textured stems.

Watering

In S/S water thoroughly only when 100% of the soil has dried out (this may be more frequent during hot, warm weather). In A/W allow the soil to dry 100%, water sparingly (every two months or so). In spring, gradually increase watering (depending on temperature and light exposure).

Light requirements

Full sun.

Feed

Use a house plant fertiliser every month between April - September.

Repotting

Re-pot once per year for the first few years, then every 2-3 years. Use a well-draining cactus and succulent potting mix, adding additonal drainage mediums such as gravel, pumice or perlite.
