Agave filifera

Agave filifera are native to Central Mexico. Forming compact, stemless rosettes with pointed leaves that have long, white fibres along their edges. This gives the plant its common name, the thread Agave. Their inflorescence can shoot up to a striking 2.5 metres in height, which are dense with green and white flowers. 

Watering

Water when soil is dry 100%. Water lightly (if at all) during winter months.

Light requirements

Full sun.

Feed

Use a cactus fertiliser 3 times between March - November.

Repotting

Repot every 2-3 years. Use a well draining cactus compost, adding extra drainage such as perlite, pumice or grit.
