Alocasia micholitziana 'Frydek'

Deep green and velvety, rippled at the edges, with luminous white venation and meeting at a distinctive point, the foliage of Alocasia micholitziana 'Frydek' is one of a kind. Endemic to the island of Luzon in the Phillipines, this species was once common in its growing range but has now been classes as vulnerable due to over collection.

Watering

In S/S water when 20% of the top soil has dried out. In A/W allow top soil to dry out 70%.

Light requirements

Bright, indirect.

Feed

Use a houseplant fertiliser every 2 - 4 weeks from April - October.

Repotting

Repot roughly every 1-1.5 years. Use a well draining house plant compost with added draining medium like perlite.
