Aloe erinacea
Native to Namibia, Aloe erinacea forms dense rosettes of pale grey-green leaves which curve inwards. Leaves are lined with white spines which become brown or black at the leaf tips. This little succulent is slow growing, but with maturity produces a red-yellow inflorescence which produces sweet nectar to attract sugar birds and a variety of insects for pollination.
Watering
In Summer water thoroughly only when 100% of the soil has dried out. A/W allow soil to dry 100% - water sparingly (every two months). Spring gradually increase watering - depending on temp and light exposure.
Light requirements
Full sun.
Feed
Use a cactus fertiliser 2-3 times a year.
Repotting
Repotting is only necessary if and when the offsets have filled the pot, otherwise it can stay in the same pot for many years.
Pot size / height
See available sizes below. Please note that, due to their natural variability, specimens' height may be within 10-20% of the stated height below.
Plant is supplied in its plastic nursery pot.
