One of the most impressive Aloe specimens in our collection. The intimidating dense rosette of fleshy leaves is lined with sharp spikes, while its spent leaves form a skirt of dry foliage as a reminder of the old growth.
Aloe ferox is fierce in name and form (ferox meaning fierce in latin). Their leaves are lined with sharp red/brown spines, and there to deter herbivores. Recognisable by its woody stem topped by a rigid rosette of sword-shaped, blue-green leaves, and their bright orange-red flowers emerging from a branching spike during spring.
