Beaucarnea recurvata Specimen 50 / 180

One of the largest Beaucarnea recurvata specimen we have ever recieved! As this species matures the base of the trunks become distincly wide and almost flat, which can be seen developing here.

Beaucarnea recurvata is commonly known as the Pony Tail Palm due to its bright green recurved leaves, although it’s not a true palm and as a Mexico native it fares best in sunny and dry conditions. Recognised not only by its slender arching leaves but also by its distinct trunk, which grows incredibly wide and swollen at the base.

In S/S water when 30% of the top soil has dried out. In A/W allow top soil to dry out 60%.

Bright, indirect. Can tolerate full sun if gradually acclimatised

Use a house plant fertiliser every month between April - September.

Repot every 2-3 years.
