Chamaedorea seifrizii

Commonly known as ‘bamboo palm’ or ‘parlour palm’, the elegant fronds of Chamaedorea seifrizii grow fairly dense yet compact. Slender stems resemble that of bamboo, with tufts of thin green leaflets making for a bushy growth at the top.

Watering

In S/S water when 20% of the top soil has dried out. In A/W allow top soil to dry out 50%.

Light requirements

Bright, indirect.

Feed

Use a houseplant fertiliser once every 2 months from April - October. 

Repotting

Repot when plant is crowding pot, roughly every 2-3 years. Use a well-draining houseplant compost with an added drainage medium like perlite.
