Cyphostemma uter
Cyphostemma uter is native to areas of Angola and Namibia, growing in dry, stony slopes. These slow growing caudiciform succulents can grow at most up to 1.5 metres tall, producing a peeling bark on their beige trunks. “Uter” îs derived from the latin meaning ‘each side’ or ‘of two’, no doubt referencing its fleshy, serrated leaves growing from either side of the stout caudex.
