Echinocereus morricalii
Native to areas of Mexico, this small clustering species produces almost spineless stems along its many branches. The stems can become quite wrinkly during their dormant periods with little water, but they will soon plump out with some water in spring. Funnel-shaped, bold, magenta coloured flowers emerge in spring.
Watering
Water when soil is 100% dry. Water lightly (if at all) during cold winter months.
Light requirements
Full sun.
Feed
If not repotting then you can use a well-balanced cactus feed every month from April - September.
Repotting
Repot this plant every two years to replenish the soil and to allow extra room for the roots to spread out. Use a well-draining and gritty cactus compost.
Pot size / height
