Euphorbia multifolia
I know we shouldn’t have favourites but this showy Euphorbia stopped us in our tracks! At the growing tip its thick stem is light spring green, gradually ageing to a purple brown with a distinct lattice pattern. Light spines pepper the surface of the trunk interjected with greyish blue leaves which end abruptly giving them a rectangular appearance. There is just so much going on with this little succulent!
Watering
In summer water thoroughly only when 100% of the soil has dried out. A/W allow soil to dry 100% - water sparingly. In spring gradually increase watering - depending on temperature and light exposure.
Light requirements
Full sun. Leaves will turn a nice purple colour with lots of light.
Feed
Use a cactus fertiliser 2-3 times a year.
Repotting
Repotting once every 2-3 years to replenish soil. Use a cactus compost with a good mix of perlite.
