Euphorbia neorubella (Monadenium rubellum)

This strange caudiciform plant grows slender green (sometimes deep red) branches, twisting together into all directions. Its swollen root at the base, known as a caudex, grows underground in the wild but in cultivation once mature enough this root is exposed due to its curious shape, which can form multiple sections. Pink blooms appear if the plant experiences favourable conditions.

Watering

In summer water thoroughly only when 100% of the soil has dried out. A/W allow soil to dry 100% - water sparingly (every two months). In spring gradually increase watering - depending on temperature and light exposure.

Light requirements

Full sun.

Repotting

Repot every 2-3 years using fresh cacti & succulent compost.

Feed

Use a cactus feed from March - November every other time you water.
