Euphorbia platyclada

Aka the ‘Dead Stick Plant’. Though it may not be to everyone’s taste, there is no denying that it is one of the most unique and intriguing succulents out there! Resembling dead shrivelled sticks, the Euphorbia platyclada has thin, flattened stems mottled with orangey browns, that splay out in a wild unruly way. Despite its very dead appearance, this whacky Euphorbia is full of life, even sometimes producing tiny flowers at the end of the growing season. If you’ve been collecting succulents for a while, you’ll definitely appreciate this enigmatic specimen.

Watering

In summer water thoroughly only when 100% of the soil has dried out. A/W allow soil to dry 100% - water sparingly (every two months). In spring gradually increase watering - depending on temperature and light exposure. 

Light requirements

Full sun.

Repotting

Repot every 2-3 years using fresh cacti & succulent compost. 

Feed

Use a cactus feed from March - November every other time you water.
