



Gymnocalycium horstii
Native to arid areas of South America, Gymnocalycium horstii can be found growing on the rock outcrops amongst pampa grasslands. This usually solitary cactus forms a shiny green globose stem, with sparsely spread yellow spines.
Watering
During S/S water when the soil is 100% dry. Refrain from watering during winter months.
Light requirements
Full sun.
Repotting
Repot every 2-3 years. Use a well draining cactus compost, adding extra drainage such as perlite, pumice or grit.
Feed
Use a cactus fertiliser twice between April - September.
