Homalomena rubescens 'Maggy'

The Homalomena genus, a member of the Araceae family, is found in parts of southern Asia. Homalomena rubescens ‘Maggy’ forms a dense clump of glossy, heart-shaped leaves which rest atop deep red stems. Similar in appearance to that of many Philodendron species, but much lower maintenance in comparison.

Watering

In S/S water when 20% of the top soil has dried out. In A/W allow top soil to dry out 50%. A high humidity lover, so mist often.

Light requirements

Bright, indirect.

Feed

Use a houseplant fertiliser every two months from April - October.

Repotting

Repot every 2-3 years when pot is full. Use a well draining house plant compost with added draining medium like perlite.
