Lepismium bolivianum

Lepismium bolivianum (also synonymous with Pfeiffera boliviana) is one of the tropical epiphytes belonging to the cactus family, native to the forests of Bolivia. With long, flattened, narrow stems which are scalloped at the edges, its unusual form makes for an intriguing low-maintenance houseplant. Forest cacti have adapted to the moist conditions of the rainforests in tropical and sub-tropical Central and South America, growing high-up amongst the trees, clinging to bark and growing amongst moss in search of water and nutrients.
