Parodia (Notocactus) leninghausii

Endemic to Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, is one of the most popular cacti in cultivation all thanks to its charm. Its masses of soft golden spines glow in the sunshine, highlighted by its bright green stems. The apex of each stem can produce multiple bright yellow glistening blooms during the growing season. 

Watering

Water when soil is 100% dry. Water lightly (if at all) during cold winter months. Aloes can be prone to rot if cold and wet at the same time.

Light requirements

Full sun.

Feed

If not repotting then you can use a well-balanced cactus feed every month from April - September.

Repotting

Repot this plant every two years to replenish the soil and to allow extra room for the roots to spread out. Use a well-draining and gritty cactus compost.
