The Olive tree, Oleaeuropaea, is one of the most significant plants in cultivation, native to areas in the Mediterranean, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Despite its importance in global cuisines, they are also cultivated for their ornamental value. Silver-green, oblong leaves densely populate the top of their often rugged and twisted trunks. White, feathery flowers emerge during the growing season if getting plenty of light, warmth and humidity, followed by the iconic fruit. These are a sure-fire way to instantly add a touch of the Mediterranean landscapes to any space.
