Pachypodium saundersii

The irregularly shaped chunky stem of Pachypodium saundersii produces slender branches and tufts of leaves which grow mostly near branch tips. Stems and branches first grow with a shiny silvery sheen, but overtime this develops into a brown woody texture.

Light requirements

Full sun.

Use a cactus fertiliser monthly between March - November.

Repotting

Repot every 2-3 years, or when roots begin to protrude through the drainage holes. Use a well draining cactus compost, adding extra drainage such as perlite, pumice or grit.
