Peperomia argyreia

Native to the tropical areas of South America, Peperomia argyreia can be found across Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, and Venezuela. Commonly known as ‘Watermelon Peperomia’, due to its round fleshy leaves producing a pattern closely resembling a watermelon. An aesthetically pleasing pattern of bright green and silver stripes, sits atop deep burgundy stems.

Watering

In S/S water when 40% of the top soil has dried out. In A/W allow top soil to dry out 60%.

Light requirements

Bright, indirect.

Feed

Use a houseplant fertiliser 3-4 times between March - November.

Repotting

Repot when plant is crowding pot, roughly every 1-2 years. Use a well draining house plant compost.
