Philodendron luxurians 'El Choco'
The deep green and velvety leaves of this Philodendron prove to be a striking and dramatic feature. With deep red undersides and a gentle shine, their tactile surface adds to their elegant appearance. To keep this lovely foliage happy, they require warmth and high humidity at all times.
Watering
In S/S water when 20% of the top soil has dried out. In A/W allow top soil to dry out 50%. To increase humidity during S/S, mist the plant occasionally or sit it on top of a tray of pebbles with water.
Light requirements
Bright, indirect.
Feed
Use a houseplant fertiliser every two months from April - October.
Repotting
Repot every 2-3 years when pot is full. Use a well draining house plant compost with added draining medium like perlite.
